Our Network

TagleRock uses the most powerful network equipment in the market today, utilizing100 percent Dell servers. We’ve designed our platform in a fail-proof manner to ensure, should one server fail, another automatically and without delay assumes its workload. All data is stored in two large network disk arrays, and your data is automatically synchronized between each so that, in the event an array fails, the remaining one continues to serve data to the servers with continual and uninterrupted services.

The following diagram outlines the TagleRock Technologies’ network infrastructure.

All networking routers and switches are Cisco Gear for optimal performance and reliability. The network is based on Gigabit technology, running 1000 MB per second, while most web hosting networks are limited to 100 MB per second. Our network is also supported by 100 percent CAT6 network cable, containing four pairs of copper wire. CAT6 supports Gigabit (1000 Mbps) Ethernet and communications at more than twice the speed of CAT5e, the other popular standard for Gigabit Ethernet cabling.

Our current server specifications are:

  • Dual Intel Xeon processor 3.2GHz with 1MB cache

  • 4 GB SDRAM

  • Dual 72 GB SCSI operating system drive

  • RAID operating system mirroring

  • Dual power supplies

  • Dual Gigabit network adapters

  • 100 percent Cisco Gigabit network

Our Datacenter

Our datacenter facility is equipped with the latest in power technology, incredible HVAC and 24X 7 secure accesses perched atop our network with 141 Mbps full-duplex bandwidth. No longer restricted to the speed of your modem, ISDN, DSL and T1 connection, your information can now arrive faster and more reliably than ever before. Once your on our server, you simply use a standard dialup, cable or DSL account for access. You also have unbridled bandwidth to serve your information as fast as your viewers can receive it.

Our network has DS3 connections from three fiber providers enabling redundant Internet connections and focused traffic management. All networking routers and switches are Cisco Gear for optimal performance and reliability.

Uninterrupted Power Supply

Our power generator is turbo-diesel powered, providing 500 kilowatt / 1/2 megawatt of power, enough to run approximately 500 houses. It powers up and provides stable service in less than one minute. UPS automatically carries its load while powering up. Its batteries, supporting start-up, reside on heat pads to stay warm, while diesel pipes are also warmed to prevent fuel jellification. The generator is set to idle for a specified length of time to provide instant power should line power fluctuate. It’s fuel tanks hold fuel to support 24 hours worth of power at its current load and offers more tank capacity to support future growth. We currently hold three diesel fuel service contracts with various companies to ensure continuity. Tanks have a dual pump system for redundancy with anti-explosion parts behind a two-hour burn-time fire wall surrounded by multiple sprinkler heads.

State-of-the-art Electrical Design

The auto-transfer switch is set at 1200 amps and located on the second floor, where startup, idle, shutdown and other parameters are set. UPS and our in-house generator system continues power during brown outs, full outages and utility power flapping. Our datacenter was designed by an electrical engineer with specific datacenter focus and expertise.

Modularity and Adaptability

We can install new generators, UPS’s and distribution panels without downtime, making our datacenter extremely adaptable to growth over time. The control can handle three UPS’s, with each UPS offering 100 KVA, triple our current need. We have plans to launch three total UPS, with the third solely dedicated to redundancy. Our datacenter can easily handle up to 1.5 megawatts capacity and 150 watts per square foot, while most are only designed to handle 30 to 50. Basement step-down transformers take 480V down to 208V to feed distribution panels. These transformers reside on platforms and are thus elevated two feet off of the floor to guard against moisture or unforeseen leaks. Transformers and distribution panels are oversized to prevent heat buildup and ensure harmonics, protecting computer power supplies. Sump pumps extract any and all water entering the basement faster than any utility disaster or flood can flow in.

Protected and Monitored Environment

We use a Glycol heat exchange system outside of the main compressor unit, all of which occurring on the roof with actual Freon cooling occurring inside the room. Pipes are installed for additional heat exchangers as we expand. We have the capacity for more than 120 tons of cooling and room for four 30-ton cooling units. The Glycol system has redundant pumps for heat exchange, ensuring less likelihood for breakdown. The system incorporates a free cooling unit, utilizing and circulating cold air outside during winter rather than using Freon units. All air dispersal is controlled through perforated floor tiles. The raised floor is flexible and tiles are adjustable to control warm spots. We use an ultrasonic vaporization humidifier for reliability, as they aren’t subject to typical mineral deposits and mechanical breakdown.

Stealth Security

Our datacenter has a roof hatch to the generator with a padlock and latches on the inside only. A steel door with an internal padlock secures the entrance at the bottom of the stairs. We’ve installed biometric fingerprint readers on all door locks using sophisticated laser recognition technology like that used on UPC labels in grocery stores. Cameras and motion detectors are strategically placed throughout the building and all important doors are monitored with an advanced alarm system.

Everything at our datacenter is N+1 redundant including pumps, power systems, environmental units and network connectors. This means we have the number of units necessary for a specific task, plus one additional for redundancy.
